The construction of a new embassy in Wellington is always an important venture. With 5 floors, 12 staff apartments, a reception area for 300 people this project looks set to impress on debut.

Late in 2016 Ebert Construction were appointed the main contractor to build a new High Commission and Chancery for the Government of India in Wellington’s Parliamentary Precinct. Since then they’ve been hard at work putting plans into action.

We are proud to announce we are now part of this process, having been successfully nominated to supply a range of aluminium metalwork features to this high profile project. Urban Group has been contracted to supply and install twisted fins to the façade, automated security gates, security fencing and plant room louvers.

This is a big win for the team with a lot of design work and collaboration bringing us to this point. Celebrated architectural firm Warren and Mahoney has provided an incredible vision for the approximately $30 million project.

We are now looking forward to working closely with our construction partners, our combined expertise and experience making this vision a reality.
