We’re proud to announce that the Wanaka Volunteer Fire Station has won recognition in this year’s Southern Architecture Awards, winning the Public Architecture Award along with the Invercargill Airport.

The New Zealand Institute of Architects hailed the building as a “sensible use of materials”, and, “this essential piece of social infrastructure exemplifies the value of good architecture applied to a utilitarian use.”

Beautiful and practical? These are criteria we love to see. Thanks go to Mason and Wales Architects for their trust in our work supplying the boundary fencing for the station. Congratulations on a truly stunning building.
