Improving the view

Taking the sound advice of the fencing contractor yielded a good outcome both for Lakeview School and the neighboring Henley Lake.

When tendering for the school fence work, Erecta Fence owner Peter Kennedy suggested an attractive Urban Group fence as an alternative to the chain link specified in the original plan.

This product looks great and was the best option in our opinion for aluminium school fencing,” says Peter. “The price is very favourable, it’s easy to install and very strong and durable.”

The architect agreed. Assure style aluminium fencing now borders three boundaries of the school playing field. Available in three heights, the fence has strong 19mm square vertical tubes and is both attractive and durable with a powder coat finish. We supplied 450m of 1.5m high Assure fencing for this job.

Trying to complete the work during the school holidays was a tough timeframe and a small area was unable to be completed before the children returned. We simply arranged for a temporary fence, free of charge to the client, until the remaining length could be supplied. This was installed just two weeks later.

The school field is now secure. But, more than that, the design of the fence doesn’t inhibit the view of the lake outside. By inviting the viewer to see beyond the fence it also plays a role in strengthening the relationship the school already has with the neighbouring Henley Lake.
