Parsonson Architects approached us early in 2014 with a request for a balustrade that complied with the NZBC while keeping within their initial design brief. The horizontal slat balustrade that our design team came up with not only offered privacy to the balconies but was also a key feature of the building façade.
Often we are not involved in a project until mid-build. However in this case our early involvement ensured the required balustrade fixing substrate was in place and, consequently, any re-design costs were avoided.
We also supplied matching aluminium slat gates and fencing for this project, as well as clock tower slats and aluminium fascias. The time frames were demanding but, with everything meticulously site-measured before fabrication and installation, we kept up with the project schedule.
